Recipe:
1 Tbs. melted butter or coconut oil
1 Tbs. sweetener; raw honey or real maple syrup
1 egg (from pasture-raised)
1 Cup raw grass-fed milk or yogurt (if yogurt, add ¼ cup water also)
1 Cup sprouted flour; spelt or wheat
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. sea salt
Instructions:
Mix melted butter or coconut oil with sweetener and egg, mix well. Then add milk or yogurt and mix well. In a separate bowl, put dry ingredients and add the wet mixture; blend well with a fork and let sit for 10 minutes.
Cook in a cast iron or stainless steel pan. Grease the pan as needed with butter or coconut oil.
If mixture is too thick add a tablespoon at a time of milk or water. If too thin, add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time.
Serve with butter or coconut oil, fresh fruits, real maple syrup, or anything you can think of.
Note:
This is a basic pancake recipe, fruit such as 1 -2 mashed banana, 1/2 – 1 Cup blueberries, etc…. can be added with the wet ingredients.
very nice post, i certainly love this website, keep on it
I am continuously searching online for ideas that can aid me. Thx!
Mmmm. These look good. I am vegan / so I would replace the egg for 1 tablespoon ground flax and a couple tablespoons of water, and the yogurt? What do you suggest as replacement? Thankyou.
Replace “relaxer” with “replacer”. =:0)
As far as replacing the yogurt, you could do plain water or almond milk (homemade).
Anyone out there have any other suggestions?
I personally am not into replacement foods, however if your suggestion works, that would be great for anyone who is vegan or simply doesn’t eat eggs.
