With summer coming to an end and fall begining, my once favorite blueberries also at an end. Right now there is an abundance of grapes for the next couple months here in central CA.
On a drive the other day, we bought about 10 pounds of grapes from a family owned organic vinyard and I was a little overwhelmed as to what to do with them since they don’t last very long and how many could I eat before feeling sick, right?
So, I froze most of them because I love frozen grapes on a hot afternoon, which we still have these days. I also figured I could use them to sweeten my morning smoothies but never thought of them as the only fruit in them, until this morning.
I went in my freezer as usual to get a small amount of berries I had frozen myself, when I saw those grapes. I was going to mix them, but then I coudn’t imagine the taste of berries and grapes being a good combination, so I only put the frozen grapes along with coconut water and spinach with a splash of vanilla.
To say the least….YUMM!
I couldn’t wait to share this with EVERYONE!!! So here it goes…..
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup frozen grapes (I used pink)
- 1 Cup coconut water (or just plain filtered water)
- 1 Cup spinach
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in blender and turn it on, couldn’t be more simple 🙂
